I am a model, so I take my skin care seriously. For this months review, I opted for a three phase exfoliating facial and it completely transformed my skin.
What is a Three Phase Exfoliating facial :
It’s a no-downtime, instant gratification superficial skin resurfacing treatment that leaves skin looking glowy and super soft.
The three phase exfoliating facial starts off with dermaplaning the skin to remove surface debris and peach fuzz, followed by microdermabrasion to remove dead skin cells and help diminish fine lines and wrinkles, finally a mild glycolic acid peel is applied to improve and smooth the skin texture.
Skin looks instantly rejuvenated and makeup applications is an absolute dream.
A gentle foam cleanser was applied to rid any makeup and oils, this is an essential part to ensure the best results are obtained from the dermaplaning process.
Admittedly the thought and the feeling of having a surgical scalpel effortlessly run across your face is unnerving but not unbearable.
The skin is wiped over once the treatment is completed and the next exfoliating step begins.
Chances are everyone has tried microdermabrasion or knows of someone that has the treatment done, it’s a ‘no surprises, does what it says on the tin’ type of treatment, the not so comfortable part is the application of the glycolic acid to freshly dermaplaned skin… boy, oh boy, did that sting, it’s not a painful sting but it most certainly is uncomfortable. The acid is left on for 3-5 minutes before being neutralised and wiped off.
My skin was red and felt warm to the touch at this point but the redness and heat subsided within 2 minutes.
Would I do it again?
The glow was unreal, my skin looked brand new and felt baby soft, however, I can’t say I am a sworn fan of glycolic acid.
If I was to have this treatment again I wouldn’t have the glycolic peel applied.
My treatment was carried out by Analisa, a fully qualified aesthetic practitioner at the ‘360 Aesthetic clinic’.
